-> IAJE 2001

   For those of you who didn't make this year's IAJE extravaganza in
   New York -- well, you definitely missed out on something special.
   Plenty of great performances, representing every genre of Jazz
   were heard from ballroom to ballroom at the NYC Sheraton and Hilton.
   Several clinics, discussion panels (AAJ publisher Mike Ricci was
   a part of the web panel), and three floors of exhibits highlighted
   this four-day event. Schmoozing is what you do at IAJE, and we did
   it with aplomb. 742 conversations, 29 meetings and 12 deals later,
   AAJ is gearing up for another tremendous year. For those who are
   considering attending next year's conference, note that it's in
   Long Beach, CA.
